Study leave is a touchy subject. Students (understandably) want more and employers (also understandably) are reluctant to give it.
For modules 1 through 5 we only require that employers grant their students one day—evaluation day—away from the office, so that students can write the module-end evaluations. We believe that students shouldn’t need additional time off, especially with the number of weeks of tasks having been reduced to seven. The now task-free eighth week allows students to submit their final revisions, review the tasks and other module content, write practice questions, and attend the chats (each one covers a different practice question).
Students may want more time to prepare—whether because of busy work schedules, personal commitments, or study styles. Some employers give their students additional study leave before module evaluations and others require that students use vacation days if they want more time. Granting this time is at the discretion of employers.
